School Rules
  1. Students should carry their Organizer to School every day with their photograph and the identity information complete and signed by the parent. The parents are expected to peruse the contents of the organizer and fill in entries on the specified pages.
  2. Students who come to School in their own transport should arrive at the School before the bell rings. No student is allowed to come to School in a self-driven motorcycle or car.
  3. Student’s appearance should be tidy and they should be neatly dressed. The School uniform is to be worn every day and for all School functions. Students who are sloppily dressed or not in the complete uniform will be sent home.
  4. Boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Girls should neatly make plaits or properly manage their hair according to the length.
  5. No shouting or whistling is allowed in the School premises.
  6. Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for School property: No student should damage any School furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the Class Teacher. Any damage done will be made good by the one who causes it. Anyone who notices something damaged should report the matter even if he or she does not know who has done it.
  7. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments to School.
  8. Students are advised to keep their classroom/school building/campus as neat as possible and throw leftovers into the dustbin only.
  9. Lending or borrowing of money and other articles is not permitted.
  10. The School is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches, jewelry, electronic gadgets) to School.
  11. Students should observe polite standards wherever they go. They should always remember that the School is judged by the behavior of its students. Students should always wish their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offenses.
  12. Students should have the spirit of ‘we-feeling’ and brotherhood among their fellow students. They should be enthusiastic and eager in their approach to helping others.
  13. The School reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose performance in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  14. Parents and guardians may not visit their wards or teachers in the classrooms, without the permission of the Principal. As far as possible, once a child has come to School, he/she should not be asked to return home early.
  15. The School provides education from Pre-Nursery to Grade XII. It is expected that the seniors would treat the juniors with love and affection while the juniors would show respect to their seniors.
  16. No student shall indulge in any of the following practices:
    1. Spitting within the school premises.
    2. Disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school property.
    3. Any form of gambling.
    4. Use of drugs or intoxicants.
    5. Unruly and rude behavior.
    6. Use of violence in any form / groupism or vandalism.
    7. Casteism, communalism or practice of untouchability.
  17. The observance of rules of discipline of the School and good behavior is an essential condition to student’s continuing in the School. In case any student violates the School rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like expulsion/suspension shall be taken against the student.
  18. Parents and guardians of all students should contact the teachers on the PTI days to note the progress of their wards.
  19. A child who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
  20. A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given zero in the subject and a warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
  21. Student using the school bus will maintain discipline in the bus. Bus facilities will be withdrawn in cases where discipline is not properly maintained.
  22. Students should avoid bringing oily or heavy lunch packs, they should carry light nutritious diet or dry food packs or fresh fruits, vegetables etc.
  23. Disobedience, indiscipline and arrogant behavior will not be entertained. Systematic and proper planning in terms of their academic excellence is expected from the students.
  24. Students are strictly forbidden to wear any junk jewelry or accessories during school hours. They should be simple and decent in their outward expression. Students should avoid loitering around the school corridors or in any other part of the school premises.
  25. Mobile phones are strictly not allowed during school hours, in case of an emergency, the student can call home from the school office by the permission of school authorities.
  26. Students are encouraged and advised to maintain a balance between their academic achievement and extra-curricular activities.
  27. If a student is injured during school hours in the campus first aid will be administered in the school infirmary by the nurse in charge and all efforts shall be made to notify the parents immediately. All minor injuries will be treated at school unless the school is directed by the parents to do otherwise. You are required to keep us posted regarding the change in your contact/phone number.
School Transport

A student can avail of School Transport subject to the availability of seats. The routes of the School buses are drawn up and the parents should consult the transport in-charge for necessary details. It is not obligatory on the part of the school to provide transport to all students desirous of this facility.

Bus Rules

  1. All students using the School bus are expected to be ready at least five minutes before the arrival time of the bus.
  2. The buses will not wait for latecomers.
  3. The children should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives.
  4. No student should come near the entry door of the bus until it has made a complete stop.
  5. All students must occupy vacant seats immediately after boarding their buses.
  6. When the bus is in motion students must not move around in the bus and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
  7. Objects of any kind must not be discarded inside or thrown outside the bus.
  8. Students will be held responsible for any damage to buses caused by negligence or vandalism.
  9. No student is allowed to eat on the bus.
  10. Unruly behavior like shrieking and shouting is strictly prohibited. Courteous behavior is expected at all times.
  11. The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
  12. The student bus monitors are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offense must be reported to the Principal.
School Uniform
  1. All the students (II-XII) must come to school in the P.E. uniform whenever they have P.E. classes.
  2. For all children, boys and girls alike, proper footwear in both summer and winter is black leather shoes. No shoes of any other colour or kind or other forms of heel-less or high-heeled shoes are permissible. Sports shoes and P.E uniform can be worn during PE period/Inter-House Sports activities.
  3. All blazers and sweaters must be marked with the child’s name, class, section in order to enable the School to restore lost property to the rightful owner.

School Library

The School Library is open to all bonafide students of the School. All classes are provided with at least one library period per week. Students have to observe the following rules:

  1. Each student is allowed to borrow one book a week.
  2. They must maintain absolute silence in the Library.
  3. Books other than reference books are issued for one week. If the books are returned late a fine of SR. 1 per day will be charged. Repeatedly returning books late will result in the borrowing facility being withdrawn for 4 weeks.
  4. Books marked, disfigured or damaged will have to be replaced or paid for by the borrower.
  5. The Library has an open shelf system and students must help to maintain order and organization in the different shelves. They must put the books on the tables after consultation, not just anywhere on the shelves.
  6. Students are not allowed to bring their personal books and belongings to the Library.
  7. Any child found damaging or defacing a book regularly would be debarred from the library for the whole academic year.
  8. Facility for photocopying the documents is available.
Rules Of Absence

A student can proceed for a long leave only after a written application is submitted to the Principal and the leave is sanctioned by him/her alone. It is to be noted that the student would have to forgo all the test/examination marks that fall during his/her sanctioned leave.

  1. Anyone who has been absent on the previous day will not be allowed to enter the class without a letter from the parent, addressed to the Class Teacher, stating the reason for an absence.
  2. Parents should fill up the ‘Record for Non-Attendance’ for each absent day from School stating the reasons for their ward’s absence.
  3. Students who have been medically unfit/sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on joining the school.
  4. A student, returning to School after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease, should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him to further attend the classes. Students suffering from the following disease must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class-
    1. Chicken Pox – till complete falling off the scabs.
    2. Cholera – until the child is completely well.
    3. Measles – two weeks after the rash disappears
    4. Mumps – until the swelling has gone, about one month.
    5. Whooping Cough – Six weeks
    6. Jaundice – Six weeks after recovery.
  5. Students who require medical attention during School hours must be sent by the teacher to the School clinic with the clinic record in the organizer.
  6. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than fifteen consecutive days renders the student liable to have his name struck off the rolls. Re-admission may be granted only after payment of a fresh admission fee.
  7. All students are expected to attend School on an opening day after the vacations. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate before entering the class.
  8. It is compulsory for the students to complete 80% of the attendance in the year to make them eligible to sit for the final examination. The percentage, however, could be relaxed on medical grounds; but such students will not be eligible to receive any prizes.
Withdrawal
  1. One clear calendar month’s notice in writing must be given before a pupil can be withdrawn from the school. Whenever the child has withdrawn the fees for that particular term is to be paid. Even if the withdrawal is intended at the end of the academic session one month’s prior notice is required.
  2. Those who leave the School in May must in all cases pay the fees for the month of June and July.
  3. Transfer certificates are not issued until all dues of the School are settled.
  4. Students can be asked to leave the School on the following grounds:
    1. Indiscipline
    2. Unsatisfactory progress in work
    3. Detention or repeated detentions in a class.
    4. Prolonged illness
  5. A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the School especially if he/she is below average in that class.
Punishments

Yellow Card Record

The following offenses by a student will result in a disciplinary warning or issuing of Yellow card.

  1. Hitting, kicking, punching, spitting, etc.
  2. Leaving the classroom or other designated area without permission.
  3. Instigating others /bullying younger students of the school.
  4. Swearing or using foul language in school.
  5. Stealing
  6. Destruction of others’ / school property.
  7. Spreading rumors or telling lies.
  8. Bringing any stuff to the school which is not permitted.
  9. Any objectionable thing/gadget will be confiscated and the card will be issued.

Red Card Record

After the issuance of two yellow cards in an academic year, a red card will be issued to the student and his behavior will be under strict observation for fifteen days. If it is improved the child will be allowed to continue. If no improvement is shown and the child continues his undisciplined behavior, will be asked to leave the school.

Please note that the school Principal has the authority to take any action for any of the above offenses even without issuing a red card as he thinks fit. If he finds the charges against any student grave enough, he may waive the procedure of yellow card and can directly give instructions for suspension or expulsion of a student from the school. His decision will be final in all matters of indiscipline.
